Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami Assumes The Command Of COMPAK In A Prestigious And Graceful Ceremony:
Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami has assumed the Command of Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK) in a prestigious and graceful ceremony held in Karachi on Saturday, October 30, 2021, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head, the Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf has handed over the Command of Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK) to the newly appointed Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK) Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami.
Brief Details of the Newly Appointed COMPAK Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami:
The newly appointed Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK) Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami got commissioned in the Operations Branch of PAKISTAN NAVY back in 1989. He is a graduate of PAKISTAN NAVY War College, Lahore and Naval Command & General Staff College, Philippines. He has is also an alumni of National Defense University, Islamabad and Royal College of Defense Studies, UK.
Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami has also completed his Naval Training from Britannia Royal Naval College Dortmouth, UK and he also won the Coveted Sword of Honor due to his exemplary, unmatched and distinctive performance.
Throughout his distinguished career, the Vice Admiral has huge experience of Command and Staff appointment.
His major Command Appointments, include the Command of PNS KHAIBAR.
While, his distinguished Staff Appointments, include the Director Naval Operations, Assistance Chief of Naval Staff (Operational Plans), Chief Staff Officer to Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK), Principal Secretary to Chief of the Naval Staff at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad and Directing Staff at National Defense University, Islamabad.
Moreover, the Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami has also performed his duties as the Additional Secretary at Ministry of Defense.

Before assuming the responsibility as the Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK), the Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami was performing his duties as the Commander Karachi (COMKAR).
In recognition of his Services to the Sacred Country PAKISTAN, the newly appointed Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK) Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami was awarded the Coveted Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).
A large numbers of PAKISTAN NAVY Officers, Sailors and PAKISTAN NAVY Civilians attended the graceful and the prestigious Change of Command Ceremony.
