PAKISTAN Iron Brother TURKEY Homegrown TEI-TJ300 Medium Range Anti-Ship Missile Engine Breaks World Record:
PAKISTAN’s Iron Brother TURKEY’s first homegrown Medium Range Anti-Shipp Missile (MRASM) Air Breathing Engine TEI-TJ300 breaks world record by reaching 1,342 newtons of thrust power with a diameter for 240mm (9.5 inches), TURKEY’s Industry and Technology Minister confirmed on Friday, April 16, 2021.
According to the details released by the TURKEY’s Ministry of Industry and Technology, TURKEY has developed the indigenous Air Breathing Turbojet Engine with the collaboration of TUSAS Engine Industries (TEI) with the support of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of TURKEY (TUBITAK) and Innovation Support Programs Directorate (TEYDEB).
PAKISTAN Iron Brother TURKEY will use the said the TEI-TJ300 Medium Range Anti-Ship Missile (MRASM) for Naval, Aerial and Land Defense Systems.
The video released by the TEI also shows that the TEI-TJ300 Engines reached the unmatched 48,456 Revolutions Per Minute (RPM).

“Developed with the support of TUBITAK, TURKEY’s first Medium Range Missile Engine TEI-TJ300, class of 1342, reaching 240mm in diameter with a thrust broke the world record. TEI-TJ300; It can be applied to air, naval and land defense systems. Congratulations.”
The other competitor Anti-Ship Missile Engines available in the 230-250mm class can only produce a maximum thrust of 1250 newtons with the diameter of 250mm, the homegrown engine developed by TURKEY (TEJ-TJ300) broke world record by reaching 1342 Newtons of thrust with a 240mm diameter.
Reportedly, it is the highest level of thrust achieved by any Anti-Ship Medium Range Air Breathing Engine in the entire world.
After the successfully record breaking test, TURKEY’s indigenous TEI-TJ300 MRASM Engine is now amongst the best competing Engine in the 230-250mm class with a maximum impulse of 1,250 Newtons with a basic diameter of 250mm.
TURKEY’s Minister of Industry and Technology Mr. Mustafa Varank shared the video of the record breaking MRASM Engine on his official Twitter Account.
Mustafa Varank further added the recent Successful test will help TURKEY to fulfill all his Defense Needs by boosting the local Defense Industry after the unbiased and unjustified sanctions by the united states.
“The TEI-TJ300 engine is capable of operating at high speeds of up to 90% of the speed of sound at an altitude of 5,000 feet (1,524 meters),” stated by TEI website.
TEI further added that the newly developed TEI-TJ300 Air Breathing Medium Range Anti-Ship Missile Engine (MRASM) does not need a dedicated starter motor, as the engine has itself the ability to start with the process of windmilling, which ensures that the MRASM engine is ideal to be used for Sea, Air and Land Based Defense Systems.
It is pertinent to mention that PAKISTAN’s Iron Brother TURKEY started the project initially back in 2017 under coordination of TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI), TURKISH Aerospace Industries (TAI), Roketsan and TÜBITAK.

TURKEY has tested the first prototype of TEI-TJ300 Air Breathing Medium Range Anti-Ship Missile (MRASM) Engine back in June, 2020 with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank.
The TEI-TJ300 Engine is now capable of operating at 90% speed of sound and at an altitude of up to 5,000 feet or 1524 meters.
After the successful record breaking demonstration, the serial production of TEI-TJ300 Medium Range Anti-Ship Missile Air Breathing Engine is expected to begin following the completion of qualification and development tests.
