PAKISTAN IRON BROTHER TURKEY Launches First MILGEM Class Stealth Warship For PAKISTAN NAVY:

PAKISTAN IRON BROTHER TURKEY launches the first State of the Art MILGEM Class Stealth Warship (PNS BABUR) for PAKISTAN NAVY in a prestigious and gracious launching ceremony held at the Istanbul NAVAL Shipyard (INSY) on Sunday, August 15, 2021, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an official statement. 

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY, TURKEY Launches the 1st of the 4 Stealth MILGEM ADA Class Stealth Warship for PAKISTAN NAVY.

President of TURKEY, His Excellency Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN graced the occasion as the Chief Guests. The Stealth Warship for PAKISTAN NAVY dubbed as PNS BABUR launched with Special Prayers.

“Launching ceremony of 1st MILGEM Class ship for PN held at Istanbul Naval Shipyard. President of PAKISTAN Dr Arif Alvi & President of TURKEY Mr. Tayyip Erdoğan graced the ceremony as chief guests. CNS Adm Muhammad Amjad Khan was also present at the ceremony,” DGPR NAVY said.

Both Presidents of the IRON BROTHER MUSLIM COUNTRIES, PAKISTAN and TURKEY, also perform the steel cutting of Akhisar, the Offshore Patrol Vessel built for TURKISH NAVY.

While addressing the ceremony, the President of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN said that both Iron Brother Countries, TURKEY and PAKISTAN, shared common mutual benefit objective of promoting peace, stability, development and harmony in the region.

He added that both Iron Brother Countries will further strengthen their Bilateral Cooperation and Collaboration in various domains, including Defense and Security, in order mutually deal with the common external and internal security challenges posed to the both Iron Brother Countries.

While Thanking TURKEY for the timely construction of PAKISTAN NAVY MILGEM Class PNS BABUR Stealth Warship, he highlighted that this mega project is a testimony of everlasting and evergreen strong relations between both the Countries and he hoped that these relations would further strengthen in the coming years.

“President of PAKISTAN during his address at ceremony thanked TURKISH government for construction of naval ships for PAKISTAN. He emphasized that this project is a testimony of strong relations b/w the two countries. NAVAL CHIEF also lauded great achievement of MILGEM project,” DGPR NAVY added.

President of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN also Thanks TURKEY’s unflinching support on the indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (iIOJ&K) dispute and he also reiterated unwavering and unflinching Support of PAKISTAN to TURKEY on the Cyprus issue.

While addressing the participants, TURKISH President His Excellency, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that TURKEY and PAKISTAN Brotherhood and friendship is deeply rooted in the history and the people of TURKEY has a special place for PAKISTANI People in their hearts.

He highlighted the significance of enhancing Bilateral Military Cooperation between the Two Iron Brother Countries, PAKISTAN and TURKEY. TURKISH President H.E, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan hoped that the Economic Ties would further grow between both the Brotherly Countries.

On the occasion, TURKISH President H.E Mr. Recep Tayyip Erodan emphasized the need of mutual cooperation between PAKISTAN and TURKEY to promote regional stability in Afghanistan.

In his remarks, the CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi highly appreciated the great achievement of the MILGEM Stealth Warship project.

It is pertinent to mention that PAKISTAN has cut one of the biggest Defense Deal with its Iron Brother TURKEY for the construction of State of the Art MILGEM ADA Class Stealth Warship for PAKISTAN NAVY back in 2018.

Under the contract, Two of the Stealth MILGEM Warships were to be constructed at Istanbul NAVAL Shipyard (INSY) in TURKEY, while the remaining two Stealth Warships were to be constructed at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW) under Transfer of Technology (ToT) from TURKEY.

Salient Features of Newly Constructed MILGEM ADA Class PNS BABUR Stealth Warship:

The MILGEM ADA Class (PNS BABUR) Stealth Warship is fully equipped and armed to be deployed in a range of mission, including surveillance, reconnaissance, early warning, Surface to Surface Warfare, Surface to Air Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare and special Amphibious Operations.

Reportedly, PAKISTAN NAVY PNS BABUR Stealth Warship is Armed to Teeth with state of the art 5th Generation Weapons and Sensors, including the cutting-edge Combat Management System.

The induction of newly launched PNS BABUR MILGEM Class Stealth will significantly help to enhance the Offensive capability of PAKISTAN NAVY it will also help to strengthen the capacity of PAKISTAN NAVY in its efforts for maintaining peace, security and stability in the indian Ocean Region. (iOR).
