CHINESE Ambassador Discusses Maritime Security with PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF:
The Ambassador of Friendly Country CHINA Yao Jing called on PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Zaffar Mahmood Abbasi at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad on Friday.

During the meeting, the matters related to the recent regional security situation and the maritime security of Multi-Billion China PAKISTAN Economic Corridor (CPEC) came under discussion.
PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Zaffar Mahmood Abbasi also highlighted the role of PAKISTAN NAVY in maintaining peace and maritime security of the region.
PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF also briefed the CHINESE Ambassador about the recent steps to ensure the maritime security of the multi-billion dollars CHINA PAKISTAN Economic Corridor (CPEC) Project.

The visiting CHINESE Ambassador Yao Jing lauds the role of PAKISTAN NAVY in maintaining peace and security in the maritime frontiers of the Arabian Sea.
The key port which will be used for the CPEC is the Gwadar Port and this port would be the key success of the project, as Gwadar Port is the deepest port in the world and all the construction work in the Gwadar port has been completed.
Now, the authorities are focusing on improving the basic infrastructure facilities to connect Gwadar PAKISTAN from Kashgar CHINA both with road and rail links.
It is important to mention that CHINA PAKISTAN Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a whopping $62 Billion Dollars multi-dimensional project, which includes the establishment of industrial zones, industrial parks, roads and rail links required to ensure the speedy movement of trade convoys between the two countries. China has also started the work in their area regarding the CPEC.
