PAK ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who is on an official visit to Brotherly Country AZERBAIJAN, held One on One important meetings with Top AZERBAIJAN Defense and Security Officials in Baku on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa held One on One important meetings with the Minister of Internal Affairs of AZERBAIJAN H.E Colonel General Eyvazov Vilayat Suleyman Oglu, Chief of the Security Service H.E Colonel General Ali Naghi Oglu Naghiyev and Chief of State Border Service (SBS) of AZERBAIJAN H.E Colobel General Elchin Guliyev at Baku.

“The COAS called on Minister of Internal Affairs AZERBAIJAN His Excellency Colonel General Eyvazov Vilayat Suleyman Oglu, Chief of State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan His Excellency Colonel General Elchin Guliyev, and Chief of State Security Service His Excellency Colonel General Ali Naghi Oglu Naghiyev at Baku,” DG ISPR said.

During all the meetings, all the dignitaries discuss different matters pertaining of recent regional security, Bilateral Security and Defense Cooperation and regional peace and stability.

Both the dignitaries also discussed the possible cooperation in domains other than Defense, including trade, energy and connectivity between both the Brotherly and Iron Brother Countries, PAKISTAN and AZERBAIJAN.

“The emerging geo-strategic paradigm in the region necessitates our close cooperation and collective response against common challenges,” DG ISPR Quoted COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

On the occasion, the dignitaries highly lauded and acknowledged the high standards of battle preparedness and professionalism of PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES and its contributions for prevention of conflict in the region. All the dignitaries also discussed the recent developments of the ongoing Peace Process in Afghanistan.

It is pertinent to mention that COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa also held One on One important meeting with AZERBAIJAN President H.E Mr. Ilham Aliyev and AZERBAIJAN Defense Minister Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar in Baku.

During the meetings, both the dignitaries discuss matters pertaining to recent regional security and mutual interest. Both the dignitaries also discussed the various measures to further strengthen the Bilateral Security and Defense Cooperation between the Two Iron Brother Countries, PAKISTAN and AZERBAIJAN.
