PAKISTAN AIR FORCE, the Custodian of the Sacred Airspace and Skies of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN, paid Rich and Glorious Tribute to the Brave and Enduring Air Warrior, Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Recipient of Nishan-E-Haider, on his Birth Anniversary on Thursday, February 17, 2022, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Media Wing Head Director General Public Relations PAKISTAN AIR FORCE (DGPR AIR FORCE) Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia said in an official statement.
The Sacred Son of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed Recipient of Nishan-E-Haider was born on February 17, 1951 by having of dream of Defense the Sacred Aerial Frontiers of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
In order to fulfill his dream, he joined the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Academy Risalpur back in 1969 and earned his Flying Wings on March 14, 1971.
The Young, Bright, Energetic and Patriotic PAF Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed started the flying training at No.2 Squadron, which was stationed at Maripur Airbase. Maripur Airbase is the same airbase, where the destiny chooses this Sacred Country PAKISTAN for sublime heights by the ALMIGHTY ALLAH.
This Brave Son of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed left the unforgettable saga of Ultimate Bravery and Courage on 20th August, 1971.
This is the day, when this Sacred Son of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN embraced Martyrdom, while successfully vanquishing the nefarious designs of the instructor pilot Flt Lt Mati-ur-Rahman, who tried to hijack his Training Jet T-33 towards india.
In order to successfully foil the attempts of instructor pilot mati-ur-rahman, the Brave Son of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN AIR FORCE tried to regain control on the Aircraft, but eventually he decided to deliberately crash the T-33 Training Jet of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE barely 32 miles from the indian border.
The Brave and Sacred Son of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN spilled his last blood and Sacrificed his life for this Sacred Country PAKISTAN, but didn’t allow the Country’s Dignity to be tarnished.
The Sacred Son of this Soil Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas made the Supreme Sacrifice for the integration, Glory and Dignity of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN by deliberately crashing his Training jet away from the indian border.
For this act of unmatched Heroism, Bravery, Courage and Resolve, the Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed was awarded with the Highest Gallantry Award of Nishan-E-Haider.

The Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Recipient of Nishan-E-Haider, would always be remembered as the Icon of Devotion, Patriotism and Bravery and will remain a beacon for the future generations of this Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
