Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu Appointed As 23rd PAKISTAN AIR FORCE CHIEF:
PAKISTAN AIR FORCE (PAF) has appointed the Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu as the 23rd New CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE as the CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan is due to retire on Thursday, March 18, 2021, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Media Wing Head DGPR AIR FORCE said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Media Wing Head, the outgoing CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan will formally hand over the Command of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE to the new Incumbent New PAKISTAN AIR FORCE CHIEF Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu in a prestigious Change of Command Ceremony on Thursday, March 18, 2021.
Details of PAF New CHIEF Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu:
The 23rd new Incoming PAF Chief hails from Sadh Village in Punjab’s Gujarat District. He was promoted to the rank of Air Marshal from Air Vice Marshal in 2018 and currently he is serving as the Deputy CHIEF OF AIR STAFF Admin at the Air Headquarter (AHQ) in Islamabad.
The new PAF CHIEF Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu joint the DG (Pilot) branch of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE back in 1986 as a fighter pilot. He is the graduate of the Combat Commanders School and Air War College. Furthermore, he is also a graduated of UK Royal College of Defense Studies.
“Govt of PAKISTAN has appointed Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu as new CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF (CAS) wef 19 March, 2021,” DGPR PAF said in an official statement.
Throughout his illustrious career, Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu also served as the Director General of Projects, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operations Research and Development) and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Training Officer) at Air Headquarters (AHQ), Islamabad.
Moreover, he also served as the additional secretary in the Ministry of Defense.

In recognition of his remarkable and outstanding services for his Sacred Country PAKISTAN, Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu awarded with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military).
On the other hand, the outgoing CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan paid a farewell call on DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid and COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Generals Headquarters (GHQ) Islamabad.
