PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Appoints Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia As the DGPR AIR FORCE With Immediate Effect:
PAKISTAN AIR FORCE has appointed the Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia as the new Director General Public Relations AIR FORCE (DGPR AIRFORCE) with immediate effect on Thursday, November 25, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DGPR AIR FORCE said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Media Wing Head, PAF has appointed the Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia as the new Director General Public Relations (AIR FORCE) with immediate effect.
The recent appointment has been announced in the backdrop of recent re-organizational structure of the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE in the view of contemporary Warfare and evolving geo-strategic environment.
“Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia has been appointed as Director General Public Relations (AIR FORCE). The appointment has been announced in the backdrop of recent re-organization of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE in view of evolving geo-strategic environment, and dictates of contemporary warfare,” DGPR AIR FORCE said.
Details of Newly Appointed DGPR AIR FORCE Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia:
The newly appointed DGPR AIR FORCE Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia got commissioned in the GD(P) Branch of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE back in June, 1990.
Throughout his illustrious career, the Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia has served at different key position in the AIR FORCE.
During his career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, a Flying Wing, Air Power Center of Excellence (ACE) and an Operational Air Base of the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE.
He has also served as the Air Officer Commanding, Central Air Command and Commander AIR FORCE Strategic Forces Command (ASFC).
AVM Tariq Zia was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of PAF in June, 1990. During his career, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, a Flying Wing, Air Power Center of Excellence (ACE), and an Operational Air Base. He has also served as Air Officer Commanding, Central Air Command.

Currently, he is serving his responsibility as the Director General Warfare & Strategy at AIR HQ Islamabad.
He is a graduate of the PAF Air College, Faisal and Royal College of Defense Studies (RCDS), UK.
In recognition of his Services to the Sacred Country PAKISTAN, the Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia has been awarded as the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
