PAKISTAN and TURKISH AIR FORCE will simulate the real combat conditions against the Qatar Air Force Rafale Jets during the upcoming edition of Anatolian Eagle-2021 (AE-21) Exercise, which is commencing from June 21 – July 2, 2021 at Main Jet Base in Konya with the participation of PAKISTANI, TURKISH and allied countries, TURKISH AIR FORCE official said in an official statement.

While the indian air force has inducted some of the Rafale jets in its arsenal, Greece expected to induct the very first aircraft later this year.

This will be the very first time that PAKISTAN and TURKISH AIR FORCE Pilots will get a rare golden opportunity to pitch their Air Warfare capability against the Qatar Air Force Rafale Jets, which was recently bought by the india and Greece.

A total of 22 allied countries are participating in the Anatolian Eagle-2021 Exercise, including TURKEY, PAKISTAN, AZERBAIJAN, Qatar, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Georgia, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Hungary, Malaysia, Nigeria, Romania, Sweden, Tunisia, Ukraine, Oman, Jordan and Japan. NATO is also participating in the exercise with AWACS Aircraft.

This year’s edition of Anatolian Eagle-2021 (AE-21) Exercise, the TURKISH AIR FORCE will participate with the 38 x F-16C/D Aircraft of 113th (5), 132nd (10), 151st (6), 152nd (6), 181st (8), and 191st (3) Squadrons.

TURKISH AIR FORCE will also participate with the 1 x E-7T AEWACS Aircraft from 131st Squadron, 1 x KC-135R of the 101st Squadron and 1 x ANKA-S of the 302nd Squadron.

PAKISTAN AIR FORCE will participate with 5 x JF-17 Multi-role combat aircraft. AZERBAIJAN AIR FORCE will participate with the 2 x MiG-29s and 2 x SU-25s fighter Jet.

TURKISH NAVY will also participate in the exercise with the participation of 2 x Frigates and 2 x Fast Attack Missile Craft Boats. NATO will participate with the 1 x E-3A AWACS Aircraft.

The Anatolian Eagle Exercise is carried out each year at the Anatolian Eagle Training Centre at Konya, TURKEY.

The Exercise conducted in the most realistic combat environment that significantly help to improve the capabilities of foreign and national elements by imparting and developing new techniques, tactics, combined operational procedures and mission effectiveness amongst the participant nation.

The distinctive feature of the Anatolian Eagle-2021 Exercise is the use of Post-Mission Analysis System and Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) System, which helps to evaluate the training performance of the participant countries in a very short time.

This Anatolian Eagle-2021 Exercise also provides state of the art advanced joint training to the participating countries to increase their level and potential of combat readiness.

The Anatolian Eagle Training Centre (AKEM/AETC) is a state of the art only tactical training center in Europe and one of the three Tactical Training Centers of the world.

Apart from total relying on the airspace, the exercise also covers the vast area of 300×400 kilometers of Lake Tuz also known as Tuz Gölü that helps the participating countries to employ all their air tactics without being affected by civilian air traffic.

Since the establishment of the Anatolian Eagle Training Centre (AKEM/AETC), a total of 24,000 flight sorties and a total of 32 training terms (19 National and 23 International) have been completed with the participation of 15 foreign and allied countries.

During the exercise, the TURKISH AIR FORCE committed to the NATO Response Force (NRF) will also be carried out for the very first time. Furthermore, the TURKISH AIR FORCE will also evaluate the interoperability and combat readiness of 6 x F-16s, 1 x KC-135T and 6 x Stinger Air Defense Teams to the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (NJTF) during the exercise.
