The 3rd Edition of PAKISTAN-Kazakhstan Joint Military Drills Dostarym III Successfully culminates at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi, KPK Province, PAKISTAN on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, a prestigious and graceful closing ceremony of PAKISTAN-Kazakhstan Joint Military Drills was held at the National Counter Terrorism in Pabbi District.

The Director General Military Training, Major General Ahsan Gulrez graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the Ceremony. Top level Military Officials from brotherly Kazakhstan also presented on the occasion.

The third edition of Dostarym III was aimed to strengthen, develop and bolster the interoperability and military cooperation between both the Brotherly Countries, PAKISTAN and Kazakhstan.

The recent edition of Dostarym III was held right in the face of emerging counter insurgency and counter-terrorism domains.

“The exercise was aimed to develop, strengthen and bolster military cooperation between the two countries in the face of emerging counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency domains,” DG ISPR said.

The Special Forces of both the Brotherly Countries, PAKISTAN and Kazakhstan, took part in Close Quarter Battle (CQB), Compound Clearance, Heli Rappelling and hostage rescue drills.

“The special forces of both the countries took part in hostage and rescue, compound clearance, Heli Rappelling and Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and exchanged the first-hand experience and ideas,” DG ISPR added.

“The exercise focused on integrated synergy, interoperability, quick decision making and swift action at the tactical level,” DG ISPR added.

The third edition of Dostarym III focused on the domain of interoperability, integrated synergy, swift action and quick decision making both at the conventional and tactical level.

The recent edition of Dostarym III significantly helps to further mutual defense and security cooperation and collaboration between the Two Friendly and Brotherly Countries to effectively deal with the emerging counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism threats.

The third edition of Dostarym III began at August 25 and ends on August 31, 2021.

The National Anthems of both the Brotherly and Friendly ISLAMIC Countries, PAKISTAN and Kazakhtan, were played at the opening ceremony and the Top Military Officials from both the countries participated in the ceremony.

It is pertinent to mention that Dostarym III is a military Exercise held between the Special Forces of both the Brotherly countries, PAKISTAN and Kazakhstan, after each two years.

The first ever edition of the Dostarym I held in 2017 in PAKISTAN and the Second Edition of Dostarym II held alternately in Kazakhstan back in 2019. The third edition of the Dostarym III exercise successfully concludes in PAKISTAN on August 2021. Now, the fourth edition of Dostarym IV will held in Kazakhstan after two years in the year of 2023.
