PAK ARMY CHIEF, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) of the UK General Nicholas Patrick Carter held One on One Important meeting in Kabul to discuss the ongoing development in the PAKISTAN-Brokered Afghan Peace Process, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and UK Chief of Defense Staff General Nicholas Patrick Carter discuss important meeting in Kabil to discuss the recent development in the Afghan Peace Process and matters related to mutual interest.

“General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), UK called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), today. During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional security situation particularly current developments in Afghan Peace Process and measures to further enhance bilateral and defence cooperation were discussed,” DG ISPR said.

On the occasion, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa offered its condolences on the sad demise of the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip. COAS General Bajwa said the world has lost a highly respected friend.

“Visiting dignitary appreciated PAKISTAN’s sincere efforts for peace and stability in the region, especially the Afghan Peace Process. COAS thanked the dignitary for UK’s contribution towards fight against COVID-19 in PAKISTAN and said that PAKISTAN ARMY greatly values its friendly relations with the UK,” DG ISPR added.

On the occasion, the visiting dignitary highly acknowledged and appreciated the unbiased, sincere and positive efforts of PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES for maintaining peace, security and stability in the region, especially for the ongoing Afghan Peace Process.

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa thanked the UK CDS and said that PAKISTAN ARMY greatly values its relations with friendly countries, including the United Kingdom.
