The first Batch of CHINESE CH-4 Rainbow Armed/Combat Drones arrives in PAKISTAN. PAKISTAN gets delivery of undisclosed numbers of Rainbow CH4 Combat Drones from its Iron Brother CHINA via a shipment on January 15, 2021.
According to the details, CHINA’s state owned Defense Contractor Aerospace Long-March International Trade (ALIT) has exported the 21 pieces of equipment of drones, other than drones to PAKISTAN. The name of the customer was mentioned as the ‘Headquarter Civil Works Organization”.
The details released by the PAKISTAN Custom Department suggested that CHINA’s Aerospace Long-March International Trade (ALIT) has delivered undisclosed numbers of CH4 Combat Drones to PAKISTAN along with supporting equipment in 5 cases.
This could potentially mean that PAKISTAN has received the initial batch of CH-4B Drones from its Iron Brother CHINA meant for limited utilization and testing purposes and it eventually followed by the larger batch in near future as well.
By getting the delivery of Rainbow CH4 Combat/Armed Drones, PAKISTAN has joined the list of Jordan, Iraq, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Myanmar as an operator of CHINESE CH4 Combat Drones.
It is still unclear whether PAKISTAN has ordered the CH-4A or CH-4B variant, but Top Defense Analysts are suggesting that it could be a CH-4B Combat Drone as CHINA has always exported the upgraded and modernized versions of sophisticated weapons to its Iron Brother PAKISTAN.
The CH-Series Combat Drones is amongst the most successful Military Exports of CHINA and most of the biased US and especially western analysts believe that it is based on US MQ-9 Reaper Combat Drone.
Features of CH-4 Rainbow Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV):
The CH-4 Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) is a battle proven combat drone that is equipped with the different lethal air to ground missiles, such as the AR-2 precision guided Air to Surface Missile. The talks between Iron Brothers, PAKISTAN and CHINA, regarding the purchase of CH-4 Combat Drones surfaced back in 2016 when the lead designer of drones at CHINA Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), Shi Wen, has categorically made a statement that CASC is negotiating for the potential sale of CH-4 Armed Drone to a potential South Asian Customers.
A Wing Loong II Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) was crashed in Mianwali, PAKISTAN back on June 2016, which clearly implies that PAKISTAN MILITARY was evaluating the CHINESE Combat Drones in experimental testing flights.
