PAKISTAN and KSA Joint Counter IED Military Exercise Al-Kassah-III Kicks Off At King Khalid Military City In Saudi Arabia:
PAKISTAN and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) joint Counter Improvised Explosive Device (IED) military Exercise Al-Kassah-III kicks off at the King Khalid Military City Hafar Al Batin in Saudi Arabia on Monday, December 13, 2021, PAKISTAN MILITARY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
“A joint military counter-IED (Improvised Explosive Device) exercise, Al-Kassah-III, commenced on Monday between PAKISTAN and Saudi Arabia at King Khalid Military City Hafar Al Batin in Saudi Arabia,” DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said.
PAKISTAN ARMY Troops and Royal Land Saudi Forces will practice various drills during the Al-Kassah-III Counter IED Exercise, including the Vehicle Clearance, Compound Clearance, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Explosive Handling and other procedures.
“The Royal Land Saudi Forces and PAKISTAN ARMY troops will practice various drills involved in counter IED operations, including searching of routes, compound clearance, vehicle clearance, explosive handling and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) drills and procedures,” DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in the official statement.
It is pertinent to mention that the Al-Kassah-III is the third consecutive Joint Military Exercise between both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries.
The Al-Kassah-III Joint Counter Improvised Military Exercise aimed at enhancing the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Drills involved in the Counter-IED domain by adopting best practices.

The Commander Northern Area Major General Saleh Bin Ahmed Al Zahrani graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the Ceremony.
The recent edition of the PAKISTAN and Royal Saudi Land Forces bilateral Counter IED Exercise will significantly help to further enhance and strengthen the Bilateral Defense and Security relations between both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries.
