PAKISTAN ARMY oldest veteran Lieutenant Colonel (r) Sultan Mohammed Khan Mengal passed away at the age of 103 in Quetta, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, the Inter-Services Public Relations or ISPR, the oldest veteran of PAKISTAN ARMY died at the age of 103 in Quetta.

“Lt Col Sultan Mohammed Khan Mengal(R), Oldest Veteran (103 yrs) of PAK ARMY passed away @ Quetta. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” DG ISPR said.

PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head expressed deep demise over the demise of PAKISTAN ARMY oldest veteran and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

“Col Mengal, a keen soldier & adventurist, climbed, walked, skied, sailed & rowed through all of PAK’s natural terrain on many expeditions,” DG ISPR added.

DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar further added that Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Sultan Mohammed Khan Mengal is a professional soldier and a keen adventurist.

Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Sultan Mohammed Khan Mengal has skied, walked, sailed, climbed and rowed through all the natural terrains of PAKISTAN on many expeditions and occasions.

It is pertinent to mention that Lieutenant Colonel (r) Sultan Mohammed Khan Mengal got commissioned in the British indian Army back in 1941 and got a commissioned in the fifth Baloch Regiment in 1942. He remained an instructor at the Infantry School, Quetta till his retirement from the service in 1967.
