TURKISH Defense Giant TAI And PAKISTAN Defense Conglomerate NESCOM Inks Contract To Jointly Produce ANKA MALE Combat Drones

TURKISH Defense Giant TAI And PAKISTAN Defense Conglomerate NESCOM Inks Contract To Jointly Produce ANKA MALE Combat Drones:

The TURKISH Defense Giant TURKISH Aerospace Industries (TAI) has revealed that it has inked a contract with PAKISTAN Defense Giant National Engineering & Scientific Commission (NESCOM) to jointly product ANKA Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Combat Drones.

The Defense Giants of both Iron Brother Countries, NESCOM and TAI, will jointly be responsible for the employment and the Technology of Transfer within the scope of the defense agreement.

“Within the scope of the contract, components belonging to ANKA Combat UAV will be produced and developed. TAI and NESCOM will be jointly responsible for employment, resource, and technology transfer,” the statement said.

The main aim of the Defense contract is to explore the market for the sale and marketing of ANKA Combat MALE UAV’s and to increase the Bilateral Defense & Security Cooperation between both the Brotherly Countries, PAKISTAN and TURKEY.

“The contract we made with PAKISTAN within the scope of our ANKA UAV systems will provide significant gains to the UAV industry,” the General Manager of TURKISH Aerospace Industries (TAI) Mr. Temel Kotil said.

It is pertinent to mention that TURKISH Defense Giant TURKISH AEROSPACE INDUSTRIES or TAI opened its Regional Office in PAKISTAN back in December 2019.

Introduction of ANKA Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Combat Drone:

ANKA Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Combat UAV is fully capable to stay in the air for more than 24 hours to carry out special purpose reconnaissance and attack missions.

The ANKA MALE Combat UAV can carry a variety of payloads and ammunition up to 250 Kilograms or 550 pounds in total. The ANKA Combat MALE Drone can stay in the air at an altitude of 30,000 feet or 9,144 meters in total.

The ANKA Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Combat Drone made its maiden flight in September 2016 and the serial production of the TURKISH Combat Drone started back in 2017.

ANKA MALE Combat Drone is currently in service by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and Gendarmerie General Command of TURKEY.

TURKISH Aerospace Industries has produced ANKA Combat MALE UAV in three configurations:

ANKA-S Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Combat Drone:

ANKA-S MALE Combat UAV features the revolutionary Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) that has the capability to integrate and linked with the satellite links. ANKA-S Combat MALE UAV is currently in service by the Gendarmerie and TSK Units.

ANKA-B Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Combat Drone:

The ANKA-B MALE Combat Drone features the Link Relay capabilities. This configuration of ANKA Drone is in service by the Gendarmerie and TSK.

ANKA-I Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Combat Drone:

ANKA-I MALE Combat Drone is capable to perform the Signal Intelligence. It is currently in service by the TURKISH National Intelligence Organization (MIT).
