The POF HMG PK-16 Heavy Machine Gun, as the name clearly indicates, is basically a gas operated, belt-fed, air-cooled automatic machine gun designed mainly for infantry troops. The POF HMG PK-16 Heavy Machine Gun is quite effective against armored vehicles, low flying aircrafts, helicopters, UAVs, ground target and so on.
The POF Heavy Machine Gun is supplied with the complete anti-aircraft sighting system, tripod and a chromium plated spare barrel.
The POF HMG PK-16 Heavy Machine Gun features the 12.7 x 108 mm caliber and it supports the maximum rate of fire from 540 – 600 rounds/min. The PAKISTAN Ordnance Factories (POF) Heavy Machine Gun has a total life of the barrel after each 3500 rounds.
This Heavy Machine Gun (HMG) provides much convenience in handling and mounting, as this anti-aircraft gun can easily be mounted on Armored Personnel Carriers, Tanks, Military Vehicles and it can be deployed in both ground and anti-aircraft modes.
The overall weight of the PAKISTAN Heavy Machine Gun is approx. 30 Kilograms with an elevation of 260° +730° and it has a traverse movement up to 360°. This gun has an overall length up to 1500 mm and it has a total length up to 520 mm.
