Media Briefing Of Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-23 Held At PNS JAUHAR Karachi:

Media Briefing of the Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-23 was held at PNS JAUHAR Karachi on Friday, February 10, 2023, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an Official statement.

Commander PAKISTAN Fleet Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami briefed the media regarding the commencement of the AMAN-23 Exercise in Karachi.

Now, the Sacred Country PAKISTAN is all set to launch the eighth edition of the AMAN-23 Multinational Maritime Exercise from 10-14th Feb, 2023, with the participation of over 50 different Allied and Friendly countries of Sacred Country PAKISTAN across the globe.

PAKISTAN NAVY has been conducting AMAN-23 Multinational Maritime Exercise every two years since the first edition of the exercise back in 2007.

The AMAN-23 Multinational Maritime Exercise is divided into 2 phases: Harbor and Sea. The Harbour phase involves activities such as seminars, operational discussions, professional demonstrations, international get together and pre-sail planning of Evolutions at sea.

The 50 different Allied and Friendly Countries of Sacred Country PAKISTAN are participating in the AMAN-23 Maritime Multinational Exercise with their state of the arts Warships, Aircraft, Special Operation Forces / EOD Marine Teams and Observers.

The sea phase would include tactical maneuvers, exercises related to maritime security such as anti-piracy and counter terrorism, search and rescue, gunnery firings and Air Defense exercises.

Different highlights of the sea phase will be the International Fleet Review, which will be witnessed by national and foreign dignitaries.

Commander PAKISTAN Fleet Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami added that the main aim of the Eighth Edition of the AMAN-23 Multinational Maritime Exercise is to pave way for understanding each other’s Maritime concepts and Operational Cultures, enhancing interoperability as well as identifying ways and means to combat common threats at sea.

Moreover, the commencement of the Eighth edition of the AMAN-23 Multinational Maritime Exercise will also help in fostering friendships, bridging gaps and making it possible for countries from far and wide to operate together in pursuance of shared objectives.
