PAK NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf attends the Eighth indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Conclave of Chiefs at Bangkok in Thailand on Tuesday, Dec 26 2023, PAK NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY said in an Official Statement.
According to the details, PAK NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf Embarks on the High-Profile and Most Important visit of the Thailand.
The event involved panel discussions on issues related to cooperation in maritime security of indian Ocean and Blue Economy- ways forward for sustainable development of IONS members.
During IONS Conclave of Chiefs bilateral meetings between PAK NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf and naval leadership of IONS member states were also held.
PAK NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf held One on One high-profile and important meetings with the Commander of Qatar Emiri Naval Forces (QEAF), C-in-C of Royal Thai Navy, Deputy C-in-C of Russian Navy, Commander of Royal Navy of Oman, CNS of French Navy, Commander of Iranian Navy, Fleet Commander of Royal Navy, UK and Vice Chief of Japan Maritime Self Defense Force and discussed matters of mutual interest.
PAK NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf focused on PAK NAVY contributions to regional maritime security and emphasized on collaboration between the regional navies to enhance maritime security of the region. He also stressed upon greater collaboration between indian Ocean countries to exploit potentials of blue economy.

Sacred Country PAKISTAN formally became member of indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) in 2014. PAK NAVY proactively participates in IONS as it provides a platform to the participating nations to work together for regional peace and maritime security through a collaborative approach.
indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) is an initiative to formalize a regional maritime collaborative forum and the participation of PAK NAVAL CHIEF (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf will help to further strengthen the Bilateral Military to Military, Defense and Security relationship between Sacred Country PAKISTAN and participating countries.
