PAKISTAN NAVY Assumes The Command Of Anti-Piracy Task Force CTF-151 In Prestigious Held At Central Command HQ In Bahrain:
PAKISTAN NAVY assumed the command of a Multinational Anti-Piracy Task Force Combined Task Force (CTF-151) operating in the indian ocean region on Thursday December 10 2020, PAKISTAN NAVY Director General Public Relations (DGPR NAVY) Rear Admiral Arshid Javed said in an official statement on the official Twitter handler.
The prestigious and gracious handover ceremony for the Command of Anti-Piracy Task Force (CTF-151) at the Headquarter of Central Command in Bahrain.
It is pertinent to mention that this would be ninth consecutive time that PAKISTAN NAVY is going to assume the command of Combined Task Force-151. The Combined Task Force 151 primarily conducts operations at the Horn of Africa and off the coast of Somalia. Previously, the command of the CTF-151 Anti-Piracy Task Force was held by the TURKISH NAVY.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY, PAKISTAN NAVY has appointed the Commodore Abdul Muneeb as the New Commander of CTF-151.

The newly appointed Commander of CTF-151, Commodore Abdul Muneeb also addressed the participants and said PAKISTAN NAVY would continue to work, coordinate and collaborate with the other Naval Forces of the world for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
It is important to mention that the Combined Task Force-151 or CTF-151 is a multinational Naval Task Force, set up in 2009 and it performs duties under the command of Combined Maritime Force (CMF).
While addressing, the incoming Cdr CTF-151, Cdre Abdul Munib lauded outgoing Cdr CTF-151 for his services. He also re-affirmed resolve to continue with same spirit & highlighted strong relationship b/w PN & CMF in pursuit of common objective of maritime security in region.(2/2)

The CTF-151 ensures the Counter Terrorism Operations, disrupting piracy and it also helps to main the maritime security and stability in the region. Furthermore, the CTF-151 is also responsible for improving relevant capabilities and building capacities of World Naval Forces in order to protect the Global Maritime Commerce.
The Combined Task Force-151 operates in closed coordination and collaboration with the NATO’s Operation Ocean Shield and European Union’s Operation Atlanta.
The command handing over ceremony was attended by the various senior Military and Diplomatic Officials, including the Ambassadors of Iron Brothers and All Weather Strategic Partners, TURKEY and PAKISTAN.
