PAKISTAN NAVY Highly Advanced And Hi-Tech OPV 2600 Vessels To Be Armed With Lethal Warfare Missiles Along With Modern Self Protection Suite And Electronic Warfare Capability:

PAKISTAN NAVY’s newest, highly advanced and hi-tech OPV 2600 Vessels to be armed with the Lethal Warfare Missiles along with Modern Protection Suite and Electronics Warfare Capability.

Damen Shipyard Groups, a Dutch-based defense, shipbuilding, and engineering conglomerate, has released more details regarding the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV-II) being constructed for the PAKISTAN NAVY.

PAKISTAN NAVY’s newly Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV 2600) would be armed with the highly adaptable Naval Platforms and they will be armed with the lethal Surface, anti-ship and anti-air missiles along with Self Protection Suite and Terminal Defense Systems among other upgrades.

While speaking to the media, the Spokesperson of the Damen Shipbuilding Group said that PAKISTAN NAVY, the Custodian of the Sacred Maritime Frontiers of Sacred Country PAKISTAN, has signed the contract for the construction of Two hi-tech and highly advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV 2600) after witnessing the Satisfactory performance of the existing OPV’s PNS TABUK and PNS YARMOOK.

The Spokesperson of the Damen Group said that PAKISTAN NAVY’s Newest Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV-II) will have a total length of 98 meters, a hull draft (distance between the waterline and bottom of the vessel) of 4 meters and a width of 14.4 meters.

Moreover, PAKISTAN NAVY’s newly Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV 2600) being developed for PAKISTAN NAVY would also be equipped with the latest and hi-tech Electronics Warfare and Counter Electronics Warfare Suite that makes it as a robust Naval Platform capable of undertaking complex Electronics Warfare at Sea.

PAKISTAN NAVY’s Newest OPV 2600 Vessels are fully equipped to accommodate 60 Personnel with additional space of 36 personnel. It means it can easily accommodate 96 personnel onboard for combat and non-combat missions.

PAKISTAN NAVY newest Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV 2600) that is being developed by the Damen Shipbuilding Group, has a maximum weight of 2,600 Tons and a cruising speed of 24 KN Knots. The total range of PAKISTAN NAVY’s newest OPV-II will be 6,000 Nautical Miles in total.

PAKISTAN NAVY’s newest OPV 2600 has a total endurance of 40 days and it can cover the distance of 7,000 nm while cruising at the speed of 12 KN.

PAKISTAN NAVY OPV 2600 Vessels will also equipped a dedicated helicopter hanger to accommodate latest Anti-Submarine Warfare Helicopters to hunt down stealth indian submarines in the indian ocean.

Radio equipment for PAKISTAN NAVY OPV-2600 vessels including GMDSS rules for Area A3 incl. Satcom C and F77, UHF and HF receivers. Nautical equipment incl. Integrated bridge system with X and S-band radars, ECDIS, Gyro, DGPS, Speedlog, Autopilot, Echo sounder and Navtex etc.

While referring to the construction of the PAKISTAN NAVY’s existing Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV’s), the Spokesperson of the Damen Shipbuilding Group said that PAKISTAN NAVY’s existing OPV PNS YARMOOK and PNS TABUK has a total length of 91 meters, a hull draft of 4 meters and maximum width of 14 meters.

While, PAKISTAN NAVY’s existing PNS YARMOOK and PNS TABUK can accommodate a total of 138 crew members and has a maximum displace of 2,300 tons in total. Moreover, it can also accommodate a dedicated helicopter in the helicopter hanger.

PAKISTAN NAVY, the Custodians of the Sacred Maritime Frontiers of Sacred Country PAKISTAN, operates a fleet of 2 numbers of Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV’s), including PNS TABUK and PNS YARMOOK, that were commissioned in February 2020 and November 2020, respectively.

PAKISTAN NAVY’s both OPV/s including, PNS TABUK and PNS YARMOOK, were built by the Damen Shipyards at its Galati facility.

After showing complete satisfaction over the performance of the existing constructed OPV’s PNS YARMOOK and PNS TABUK, the PAKISTAN NAVY has cut the Defense Deal with Damen Shipbuilding Group for the construction of Two More OPV-II for PAKISTAN NAVY with added features and armament options.

The induction of two additional numbers of Highly Advanced and Hi-Tech OPV 2600 Vessels would further strengthen the Maritime Offensive Capability of PAKISTAN NAVY against the terrorist country india in the next and upcoming potential conflict.

PAKISTAN Ambassador to Romania Dr. Zafar Iqbal graced the steel cutting ceremony of PAKISTAN NAVY’s OPV-II as Chief Guest. PAKISTAN NAVY Chief Naval Overseer (Romania), Senior PAKISTAN NAVY Officials and the Senior Management of the Damen Group also attended the steel cutting ceremony of PAKISTAN NAVY’s Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV-II) at Damen Shipyards in Galati, Romania.
