PAKISTAN NAVY Observes The World Hydrography Day With An Aim To Accentuate The Significance Of Hydrography:
PAKISTAN NAVY, the Custodians of the Sacred Maritime Frontiers of the Sacred Country PAKISTAN, observes the World Hydrography Day with an aim to accentuate the Significance of the Hydrography on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an official statement.
According to the details, PAKISTAN NAVY celebrated the World Hydrography Day to appreciate the work done in the field of Hydrography in support of ports and open sea.
On the behalf of PAKISTAN NAVY, PAKISTAN NAVY Hydrography Department (PNHD) is fulfilling its due responsibility to play its due role for Hydrography Development in Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
PAKISTAN NAVY, as the Premier Custodians of the Sacred Country PAKISTAN, remains abreast with the modern evolving trends in the Hydrographic Survey.
The current year theme of the Hydrography Day is “Hydrography – Contributing to the United Nations Ocean Decade”. The current year Hydrography theme is designed to highlight the contributions of Hydrography as a discipline of the applied sciences to the United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences for sustainable development (2021-2030).
In this context, PAKISTAN NAVY also inducted the PNS BEHR MASAH Ship that is equipped with the cutting-edge and state of the art physical oceanographic, hydrographic and the geophysical survey equipment.
Moreover, the PAKISTAN NAVY Hydrography Department (PNHD) is also contributing some the autonomous aerial platforms for the coastal topographic surveys.
PAKISTAN, as a responsible country of the World, also play its role for carrying out different hydrographic surveys and the production of nautical carts/maps of its waters to provide the most accurate and reliable information to the International and Regional Mariners.
PAKISTAN NAVY has celebrated the World Hydrography Day 2022 to highlight the importance of Hydrography towards its share in Marine and Maritime related Activities.
PAKISTAN, as a responsible Coastal State, blessed with over 1,000 Kilometers of Coastline and around 290,000 Sq Km of the sea area. More than 90% trade by volume of PAKISTAN and 70% by value is carried out through the Arabian Sea.
PAKISTAN NAVY, as a responsible NAVAL FORCE of Sacred Country PAKISTAN, is always ready to continuously contribute towards the various Marine Research Activities by supporting various aspects of Blue Water Economy, which are ultimately contributing towards the National Economy of Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
