PAKISTAN NAVY Participates In Multinational Maritime Exercise Dogu Akdeniz-2019 In TURKEY:
PAKISTAN NAVY Warships and Frigates arrived in TURKEY to participate in the 12-Day Multinational Maritime Exercise Dogu Akdeniz-19 or Eastern Mediterranean-19 in English. Reportedly, PAKISTAN NAVY Warship PNS ALAMGIR Frigate has already arrived in the Aegean Sea off the Coast of Muğla City in South-Western part of TURKEY on the 9th of November, 2019.

The Dogu Akdeniz-19 Eastern Mediterranean-19 Multinational Maritime Naval Exercise also consists of the Navies of other countries besides PAKISTAN and TURKEY as Italy, Romania, Spain, Canada, Bulgaria, United States and Greece.
According to the TURKISH NAVY, the main purpose of this Multinational Maritime Exercise “is to improve the Professional Expertise and Interoperability between the Naval Forces of different friendly countries and to ensure the Operational Readiness of TURKISH NAVAL Forces, which has been asseverated to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

According to the TURKISH Newspaper, the PAKISTAN NAVY FFG-7 Frigate PNS ALAMGIR will also participate in an additional maritime drill named as the “Operation Mediterranean Shield.”
The Operation Mediterranean Shield is another initiative of TURKEY to ensure the stability and security in the Eastern Mediterranean discouraging the possible illegal maritime threats and to protect the communication Lines on and along the Sea.
Earlier in November, PAKISTAN NAVY also participates in the International Maritime Exercise IMX-19, which involves the Naval Forces of more than 50 countries.
Reportedly, PAKISTAN NAVY sent its Warships and Frigates as PNS MUHAFIZ and PNS SHAMSHEER and Orion P3C Aircraft to participate in the International Maritime Exercise IMX-19 in the Arabian Sea.
It is worth mentioning that TURKEY is the friendly country of PAKISTAN and the recent PAKISTAN NAVY Ships to the Dogu Adkeniz-19 Multinational Maritime Exercise will help to further bolster the Defense Ties between the Armed Forces of the two brotherly countries.
