PAKISTANI Sailors Dominates Medal Table As 3rd CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF International Open Sailing Championship 2022 Successfully Concludes At PAF Yacht Club Karachi:
PAKISTANI Sailors dominate the Medals table as the 3rd CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF International Open Sailing Championship 2022 successfully concludes at the PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Yacht Club Karachi on Sunday, 20th March, 2022, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Media Wing Head DGPR AIR FORCE Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia said in an official statement.
According to the details, the Sailor of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE clinched the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals of all categories as the 3rd CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF International Open Sailing Championship 2022 successfully culminates at PAF Yacht Club Karachi.
A total of 97 International Sailors from 11 different countries participated in the 3rd CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF International Open Sailing Championship 2022 were played from 17 – 20th March, 2022.
The 3rd CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF International Open Sailing Championship 2022 was promoted by the PAF Yacht Club, as the Pioneer Institution, that has also earned the distinctive of organizing major National and International Sporting events in Sacred Country PAKISTAN.
The Advisor Engineering to the Chief of the Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Shams-ul-Haq graced the closing ceremony of 3rd CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF International Open Sailing Championship 2022 as the Chief Guest.
While speaking at the gathering, the Chairman PAF Yacht Club Air Vice Marshal Zubair Hassan Khan said that flawless conduct of the 3rd CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF International Open Sailing Championship 2022 is the clear manifestation of PAF unshakable resolve and commitment of promoting healthy activities, not only at the National Level, but also at the International Level.
While Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Guest said, “it indeed is a matter of great honor for me to attend the closing ceremony of 3rd CAS Open Sailing Championship 2022. I am pleased to see the immaculate arrangements made by PAF Yacht Club to host this magnanimous event. It has been possible through the sheer diligence, earnest teamwork & unremitting efforts that teams from 10 foreign countries participated in this championship.”

Later on, the Chief Guest of the Ceremony, Advisor Engineering to the Chief of the Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Shams-ul-Haq, distributed the Medals, Prizes and Shields to the key position holders.
All medals in the laser category were clinched by the PAKISTAN Sailors, named as Muzammil Hussain, Najeeb Ullah and ALLAH Dita.
In the RSX category, the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were grabbed by the PAKISTANI Sailors, named as Sajjad Muhammad, Qasim Abbas and Mohammad Irfan.
In the Laser 4.7 category, the Gold medal was clinched by the Kan Kaeachuen of Thailand, while the Silver and Bronze medals were clinched by the Zain Binyamin of PAKISTAN and Dhanika Saakya of friendly country Sri Lanka.

Later on, the Chief Guest gave away medals to the position holders. In Laser standard category, all medals were clinched by Pakistani sailors, namely Muzammil Hussain, Najeeb-Ullah & Allah Ditta. In RSX category gold, silver & bronze medals were grabbed by Pakistan’s Qasim Abbas,

While in the optimist category, the Gold and Silver medals were grabbed by the Patcharaphan Ongkoloy and Pitipoom Jaroenpon of Thailand, while the Bronze medal clinched by the Maryam Sajjad Abbasi from PAKISTAN.
For the very first time, the 1st National Ski Championship was also played in two different categories below 1200cc and above 1200cc in the 3rd CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF International Open Sailing Championship 2022.
PAKISTAN’s Wasif Ali 1200cc and Syed Abdul Karim in the above 1200cc secured the 1st Position, respectively the 1st National Ski Championship.
