Rear Admiral Zakirullah Jan Assumes The Command of Commander Karachi In An Impressive Change Of Guard Ceremony Held At Karachi:
PAKISTAN NAVY Rear Admiral Zakirullah Jan has assumed the Command of Commander Karachi (COMKAR) in an impressive Change of Guard ceremony held at Karachi, PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head DGPR NAVY Rear Admiral Naeem Sarwar said in an official statement.
According to the details released by the PAKISTAN NAVY Media Wing Head, the DGPR NAVY, Rear Admiral Zakirullah Jan has assumed the responsibility of Command Karachi or COMKAR in an impressive ceremony.
Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami handed over the Command of COMKAR to the newly appointed COMKAR Rear Admiral Zakirullah Jan. Upon assuming the command of Commander Karachi, the Rear Admiral Zakirullah Jan is now the Commander of all training units of PAKISTAN NAVY at Karachi.
Brief History of Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami:
The newly promoted COMKAR Rear Admiral Zakirullah Jan got commissioned in the Operations Branch of PAKISTAN NAVY back in January 1990. The Admiral enjoyed the distinguished career and commanded wide range of Command and Staff Experience.
The distinguished Staff Appointments, includes Director General Defense Purchase at Ministry of Defense Production (MoDP), Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), Chief Staff Officer to Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK), Directing Staff at National Defense University (NDU) Karachi, Naval Secretary and Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Admin).
The major Command appointments of Rear Admiral Zakirullah Jan were Director Naval Aviation, Commanding Officer N3 (Air) at HQ NAVCEN Bahrain, Commanding Officer 27 Squadron, Head of P3C Mission USA and Project Director Eagle Fort.
Before assuming the command of COMKAR, the Rear Admiral Zakiruallah Jan was serving his responsibility as the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Training & Personnel) at the NAVAL HQ, Islamabad.
He is a graduate of PAKISTAN NAVY War College Lahore and NDU Islamabad. He also holds the Masters Degree in National Security and Resource Strategy NDU, USA.
In recognition of his Services to the Sacred Country PAKISTAN, the newly appointed Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Zakirullah Jan has decorated with the Coveted Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).

During the Change of Command Ceremony, he was also introduced to the Commanding Officers and Commandants of Units under Command.
The Prestigious Change of Command Ceremony was attended by the PAKISTAN NAVY Officers, CPOs, Sailors and Navy Civilians.
