PAKISTAN Iron Brother AZERBAIJAN Receives First Batch Of MEMATTs Minesweepers From TURKEY:
PAKISTAN Iron Brother AZERBAIJAN received the first batch of MEMATT’s (Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment) from the TURKISH state-owned Company ASFAT.
According to the details, AZERBAIJAN becomes the first customer when it ordered 20 MEMATT (Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment) from its Iron Brother TURKEY back in December, 2020.
“The first batch of MEMATTs, which set out from Kayseri on a plane belonging to the Air Force Command, arrived in Baku. We wish the local and national MEMATTs we export to be beneficial to our AZERBAIJAN,” ASFAT said in an official statement.
“We export 20 MEMATTs (Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment), which were produced by ASFAT for the first time in our country with domestic and national means, to meet the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, to our brotherly country Azerbaijan,” ASFAT added.
MEMATT is state of the art Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment that consists of World’s toughest Guard Plate, Armox 500T, and it can be controlled from the distance of 500 meters.
“The machinery and equipment will be transferred into the armament of AZERBAIJAN ARMY’s engineer-sapper units stationed in liberated territories to get involved in the work on clearance of human settlements, including lands suitable for sowing from mines and unexploded ordnance,” AZERBAIJAN Ministry of Defense added.
TURKISH ASFAT MEMATT Mine Clearing Vehicles can be move at a speed of 4kmph and descend to a maximum depth of 25cm and clear 1.7m wide area of mines within a time span of 60 minutes or 1 hour in total.
PAKISTAN’s Iron Brother TURKEY has previously supplied AZERBAIJAN with deadly Bayraktar TB2 Combat Drones along with Missiles, Ammunition and Air Defense Systems.
Moreover, TURKEY has reaffirmed the strong resolve and commitment to closely collaborate with Iron Brother Country AZERBAIJAN to modernize and upgrade its Air Defense Systems.
AZERBAIJAN, the Iron Brother of both PAKISTAN and TURKEY, will use the newly procured MEMATT Minesweeping system in the recently liberated Nagorno-Karabakh region to clear the mines spread by the occupant armenian security forces.
