Potential JF-17 Jet deal on the cards as the Minister for Defense of Nigeria His Excellency Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi held One on One high-profile and important meeting with CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar At AIR HQ Islamabad on Friday, March 18, 2022, PAKISTAN AIR FORCE Media Wing Head DGPR AIR FORCE Air Vice Marshal Tariq Zia said in an official statement.
According to the details, the Nigerian Defense Minister H.E Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi visits AIR HQ Islamabad and held an important meeting with CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar.
During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed various matters pertaining to ‘Mutual and Professional Interest’, including the ways to further augment the Bilateral Defense and Security relations between both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries, PAKISTAN and Nigeria.
On the occasion, Minister for Defense of Nigeria His Excellency Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi highly lauded the professionalism of PAKISTAN AIR FORCE and acknowledge the tremendous progress PAKISTAN AIR FORCE has made in the indigenous Aviation industry.
During the meeting, CAS Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar said that both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries, PAKISTAN and Nigeria enjoyed the decades long Religious, historical and cultural bonds, which are manifested through the strong bilateral ties between the AIR FORCES of both the Brotherly ISLAMIC Countries, PAKISTAN and Nigeria.
CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar specially thanked the Nigerian Government and Top Military Leadership of Nigeria for showing their trust in the PAKISTAN’s Pride JF-17 Thunder Fighter Jets.

It is pertinent to mention that the Brotherly ISLAMIC Country Nigeria has already purchased the 3 JF-17 Block-2 Multi-Role Jets from the Sacred Country PAKISTAN and hinted for the possible acquisition of more JF-17 Thunder Fighter Jets from PAKISTAN in the near future
Now the recent visit of Minister for Defense of Nigeria His Excellency Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi showed that Nigeria has made its mind to purchase additional JF-17 Thunder Jets from Sacred Country PAKISTAN, as PAKISTAN Aeronautical Complex has already rolled the mass production of PAKISTAN’s Pride JF-17 Thunder Block-3 Omni-role Fighter jets.
