COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa Inaugurates The Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s First And World’s Sixth State Of The Art Tunnelling Institute Of PAKISTAN (TIP) In Rawalpindi:
PAK ARMY CHIEF, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa inaugurated the Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s First and World’s only Sixth state of the Art Tunnelling Institute of PAKISTAN (TIP) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, 20th July, 2022, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an Official Statement.
According to the details, PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Inaugurated World’s Sixth and Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s First Tunnelling Institute of PAKISTAN (TIP), which is an initiative of PAK ARMY Frontier Works Organization (FWO).
The main aim of the newly inaugurated Tunnelling Institute of PAKISTAN is to promote Professional Tunnelling Expertise by imparting World Class Education and to Conduct advanced Research and Development (R&D) to synergize different Tunnelling resources.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the institute, an initiative of the Frontier Works Organization, is aimed at promoting professional tunnelling expertise including research and development and synergize tunnelling resources.
“Tunnelling Institute of PAKISTAN (TIP) is an initiative sponsored by FWO to promote tunnelling technology in Pakistan and aims at establishing industry-academia linkages in the country besides establishing foreign collaborations for knowledge and experience sharing,” FWO said in an official statement.
It is pertinent to mention that the recently inaugurated Tunnelling Institute of PAKISTAN (TIP) is Sacred Country PAKISTAN’s First and World’s Sixth only facility that has been Completed and Operationalized withing the planned time span of 10 months by the PAKISTAN ARMY Frontier Works Organization FWO).
The Tunnelling Institute of PAKISTAN (TIP) will also provide a platform to PAKISTANI Expertise and Academic Professionals to encompass Tunnelling Education through both Tunnelling Academia and Industry Experts.
The Inauguration of Such Hi-Tech and State of the Art Tunnelling Institute of PAKISTAN (TIP) will help to impart High-Quality education to the Professionals and Expertise by imparting International Standard education.
Later, PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the National Emergency Operation Centre, where he was apprised about the different Polio campaigns and the challenges being faced in launching such campaigns.
“COAS General Bajwa was appraised about the latest polio Campaigns operated in the country and the challenges being encountered. COAS directed to provide additional manpower/resources in sensitive zones to ensure a safe and secure environment for polio teams for the proper reach and significance of polio Campaigns to attain the goal of a polio-free PAKISTAN,” DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said.

During the visit, the CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa directed the Authorities to provide additional manpower and resources in the sensitive locations in order to ensure a Safe and Secure environment for Polio Teams that will help to eradicate Polio and it will also help to achieve the objective of a Polio free PAKISTAN.
Earlier, on his arrival at the Tunnelling Institute of PAKISTAN (TIP), the CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa was warmly received, welcomed and received by the Engineer in Chief Lieutenant General Moazzam Ejaz and the Director General Frontier Works Organization (DG FWO) Major General Kamal Azfar.
