COAS installed Lieutenant Gen Moazzam Ejaz as Colonel Commandant Corps of Engineers:
PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Ahmed Bajwa installed Lieutenant General Moazzam Ijaz as the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Engineering during his visit to Engineers Centre Risalpur on Friday 22nd November, 2019, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement.
The New Colonel Commandant of Corps of Engineers will replace the outgoing Colonel Commandant Lieutenant General Javed Mahmood Bukhari, who has been retired from the service.
Speaking on the occasion, the CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF General Qamar Ahmed Bajwa acknowledged and appreciated the performance and role of the Corps of Engineers in ongoing War against Terror, kinetic operations and during natural calamities in different parts of the Sacred Homeland, PAKISTAN.
The Ceremony was attended by the large number of serving officers, retired officers, soldiers and families of Martyrs attended the gracious and prestigious event.
It is worth mentioning that the Corps of Engineers is a major Science & Technology Command of PAKISTAN ARMY, which undertakes mega scale reconstruction and rehabilitation projects in the country due to some natural calamity or disaster.
The Corps of Engineers of PAKISTAN ARMY is associated with the Canals, Dams and flood protection services for the country.
The Corps of Engineers of PAKISTAN ARMY also operates the major Engineering Services as the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Military Engineering Services (MES) and Survey of PAKISTAN.
