PAK ARMY Appoints Former President Of the National Defense University (NDU) Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed As New Corps Commander Quetta With Immediate Effect:

Major Reshuffle in PAKISTAN ARMY as PAK ARMY has appointed the Former President of the National Defense University (NDU), Islamabad as the new Commander 12 Corps or Corps Commander Quetta with Immediate Effect on Friday, Nov 24 2023, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said in an Official Statement.

According to the details, PAK ARMY has appointed the Former President NDU Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed as the new Corps Commander Quetta with immediate effect.


Former DG ISPR and Commander 12 Corps or Corps Commander Quetta Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor has been appointed as the President of the National Defense University with immediate effect.

Former DG ISPR and Corps Commander Quetta Lt Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor was appointed at the coveted place following the unfortunate martyrdom of Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali in a helicopter crash in August last year during flood relief operation near Lasbela in Balochistan.

Reports quoting well-informed sources claimed that Former DG ISPR and Corps Commander Quetta Lt Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor has been removed as Corps Commander Quetta and appointed as the new President of National Defense University (NDU) Islamabad.

It also claimed several changes in the army and as per new reports, Major Gen Imdad has been appointed to 30 Corps, Major Gen Avais Dastgeer appointed to Chief of General Staff (CGS), and Major Gen Shakirullah appointed to HIT Taxila.

It further said Major General Aqeel has been made Inspector General Communications and IT whereas Lt Gen Tahir Hameed has been posted as Chairman PAKISTAN Ordnance Factories.
