PAKISTAN ARMY Air Defense Exercise Al-Bayza-II successfully culminates at the ARMY Air Defense Ranges near Karachi on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.
CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEF OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza, CHIEF OF AIR STAFF (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar and CHINESE Ambassador to PAKISTAN, His Excellency Mr. Nong Rong also presented on the occasion and witnessed the live firing of different types of Surface to Air Missile Systems.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head ISPR, PAKISTAN ARMY Air Defense Exercise Al-Bayza-II successfully culminates at the Air Defense Ranges in which PAKISTAN ARMY used its state of the art LY-80 Surface to Air Missile System (SAM) and FM-90 Surface to Air Missile (SAM) System.
“General Nadeem Raza, CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE visited Army Air Defense Ranges near Karachi and witnessed firing of different Air Defense weapon systems and Surface to Air Missiles (SAMs) including LY-80 Missiles and FM-90 Missiles. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF and H.E. Nong Rong, CHINA’s Ambassador to PAKISTAN also witnessed the exercise,” DG ISPR said.

On the occasion, a detailed and thorough briefing was given to the CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza regarding the main objectives and aim of the exercise.
CJCSC General Nadeem Raza highly lauded and appreciated the display of battle preparedness, combat readiness and high standards of training by the troops during the Al-Bayza-II ARMY Air Defense Exercise.
“CHAIRMAN JCSC was given a detailed briefing on the aim and objectives of the exercise including drills/procedures being practiced. CJCSC appreciated the display of high standards of training by the troops and emphasized the importance of Air Defense in modern warfare,” DGISPR added.

During the occasion, CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza highlighted the significance of Air Defense Systems in the Modern Hybrid Asymmetrical Warfare.
Earlier, upon arrival at the PAKISTAN ARMY Air Defense Ranges near Karachi, CJCSC General Nadeem Raza was warmly greeted, welcomed and received by the Commander ARMY Air Defense Command Lieutenant General Hamood Uz Zaman Khan.
