CNS Inaugurates Joint Maritime Information Coordination Center (JMICC) At Karachi:
CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF (CNS) Admiral Zaffar Mehmood Abbasi inaugurated the state of the art facility of Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) at Karachi on Friday, 21 August, 2020, PAKISTAN NAVY Spokesperson DG PR Rear Admiral Arshid Javed said in an official statement.
PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Zaffar Mehmood Abbasi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The newly established Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) would serve as the base point to integrate, coordinate and synergize the efforts of all maritime related agencies and organizations.
The JMICC will help to synergize and harmonize the effort of all maritime security agencies and organizations by generating a coordinated and centralized response to various maritime security challenges related to PAKISTAN’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
The process would be completed by sharing information and effective coordination between inter-agencies and departments.
The Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) was established back in 2013 and it is operated by a well-qualified and experienced team from the different relevant stakeholders.
The newly inaugurated Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) is equipped with the state of the art Modern Operation Room, associated infrastructure and an indigenously developed Joint Maritime Information Sharing (JMIS) Software.
The new facility of Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) will significantly help to boost the capabilities of PAKISTAN NAVY in coordinating maritime efforts between PAKISTAN and International Fusion Centers to ensure the safety and security of maritime frontiers and PAKISTAN’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
The aim is to provide corresponding response to challenges especially in EEZ. Ingenuously developed Information Sharing facilities will ensure fastest communication & cooperation at national & Int’I level. CNS appreciated efforts to develop state of the art system(2/2)

PAKISTAN NAVY Spokesperson said that the main aim of establishing JMICC is to ensure the fastest possible communication, coordination and cooperation at both National and International levels.
Speaking on the occasion, PAKISTAN NAVAL CHIEF Admiral Zaffar Mahmood Abbasi has highlighted the inauguration of new Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) facility as the significant milestone in the history of PAKISTAN NAVY, which will further help PAKISTAN NAVY’s effort to promote safety and security in the maritime region.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Commander PAKISTAN Fleet (COMPAK), Commander Coast (COMCOAST), Chief of Staff (Operations), Commander Karachi (COMKAR) and other senior Naval Officer of PAKISTAN NAVY.
