PAKISTAN NAVY Is Organizing 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MSEW 2019 At PAKISTAN NAVY War College Lahore:

PAKISTAN NAVY is organizing the 3rd Series of the Maritime Security Workshop named as MARSEW-19 at PAKISTAN NAVY War College, Lahore. PAKISTAN NAVY’s 9-Day long 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 will be based on the theme ‘Blue Economic Potential’ and it will commence from 04-12 December, 2019.

Different dignitaries, including Intelligentsia, Policy Makers, Academia, Business Entrepreneurs, Media tycoons and parliamentarians would attend the workshop.

During the first day of the 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 on 4th December, the Commandant PAKISTAN Navy War College Rear Admiral Muhammad Zubair Shafique welcomed all dignitaries and participants of the workshop in his opening speech.

The Commandant PAKISTAN Navy War College also highlighted the need and importance of much needed development in the Maritime Sector of PAKISTAN.

The 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 is basically a national level workshop and the basic aimed of the workshop is to create the dynamics of maritime security, dynamics of blue economy, highlighting the significance of maritime sectors and tapping the true blue economic potential of PAKISTAN.

During the occasion, the Rear Admiral urged the participants of the workshop to avail this opportunity in order to better understand the challenges and opportunities for the development of the maritime sector of PAKISTAN. He also urged the participants to further exploit the true maritime potential of PAKISTAN.

The 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 helps to bring together the diverse options and opinion for the adoption of an integrated policy approach to the development of Blue Economy and Maritime Sector of PAKISTAN.

3rd MARSEW-19 Workshop Participants During onboard Journey

The 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, the maritime workshop will focus on campus activities, in which prominent speakers and academia will shed light on the importance of Gwadar Port in Multi-Billion Dollars CPEC Project, potentials of blue economy and challenges, opportunities & security dynamics of the Maritime Sector of PAKISTAN.

All the participants of the 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 would also visit the Naval Headquarters Islamabad, JINNAH Naval Base Ormara, Coastal Belt of Balochistan including Gwadar, Creek Areas in Sindh, Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW), PAKISTAN National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) and Karachi Port Trust Authority (KPT).

PAKISTAN NAVY 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19

The participants of the 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 would be taken onboard the PAKISTAN NAVY Ships, which will help all the participants to better familiarize with the area of Operations of PAKISTAN NAVY.

The 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 is the third consecutive maritime workshop since its inception in 2017. The first and second maritime workshop held on 2017 and 2018 respectively.

The 3rd Maritime Security Workshop MARSEW-19 will further help to bolster the consciousness among the dignitaries in national landscape and geo-strategic environment, which will help the National Policy Decision Makers to cultivate the integrated and centralized policy for the development and betterment of PAKISTAN’s Maritime Sector.
