PAKISTAN’s Standing Committee on Defense has called for the collected efforts top speed up and accelerate the work on already long-delayed program to develop a state-of-the-art Naval Shipyard in PAKISTAN’s new Coastal City of Gwadar.

The said project was first proposed by the Country back in 2008 and it hasn’t been completed yet. PAKISTAN’s Standing Committee on Defense Production further asserted that all the supervision work of the project would be overseen by the Senate Standing Committee to support and conducting the feasibility studies and infrastructure works for future requirements.
The New Gwadar Naval Shipyard will not only be able to meet the requirements and needs of PAKISTAN NAVY, but it will also boost the opportunities for defense export alongside pursuing the several commercial shipbuilding projects and contracts to strengthen the revenue generation for the Country’s Economy and for the PAKISTAN NAVY itself as well.
