COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa Witnesses The Zarb-e-Aahan Formation Level Exercise In Bahawalpur:

PAKISTAN ARMY CHIEF, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa witnessed the Formation level exercise Zarb-e-Aahan at Asrani and Khairpur Tamewali in Bahawalpur on Thursday, October 21, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head, the Inter-Services Public Relations, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF General Qamar Javed Bajwa witnessed the training activities of the formation involved in the Zarb-e-Aahan Exercise at Khairpur Tamewali and Asrani.

During the exercise, the mechanized brigade and mechanized infantry, involved in the exercise, demonstrated their battle preparedness capability by carrying out the offensive maneuvers.

During the exercise, PAK ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa also witnessed the field firing of live weapons at the Khairpur Tamewali (KPT) ranges.

“The PAKISTAN ARMY is prepared to defend territorial integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan against all odds,” COAS General Bajwa said during the exercise.

The live firing includes, the integrated firepower display from various robust mechanisms, including the Air Defense, Artillery, Armor, Mechanized Infantry and Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM’s) in collaboration with the PAKISTAN ARMY Combat Aviation and PAKISTAN AIR FORCE.

On the occasion, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa highly lauds and appreciate the high training and operational standards of the formation.

While interacting with the troops of the formation involved in the Zarb-e-Aahan Exercise, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the realistic battle hardened training is imperative to counter the emerging security challenges and threat to defeat the nefarious designs of the enemies.

“COAS Gen Qamar appreciated high standards of training and operational preparedness of the formation. Interacting with troops, he emphasized realistic training in line with the emerging threats and challenges to defeat the nefarious designs of our adversaries,” DG ISPR said.

Earlier, on arrival at the Arsani and Khairpur Tamewali (KPT) firing ranges, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was warmly greeted, welcomed and received by the Corps Commander Bahawalpur Lieutenant General Khalid Zia.
