COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa Pays Farewell Visit To Various Setups Of ARMY Medical Corps In Rawalpindi:

PAK ARMY CHIEF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid a farewell visit to ARMY Medical Corps in Rawalpindi on November 19, 2022, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar said in an Official Statement.

Surgeon General PAKISTAN ARMY Lieutenant General Nigar Johar accompanied the CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa during the visit.

During the visit, the Commandant CMH Major general Muhammad Mohsin Qureshi thoroughly briefed the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa regarding the various setups and newly up-graded medical and health facilities at CMH Rawalpindi.

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was briefed that medical care in CMH is being provided to patients as per the International Best Practices and primary healthcare is the focus of the hospital administration.

The Hospital administration has established several counters for facilitating different patients. Moreover, different efforts are being made to provide state of the art health facilities and environment to the patients.

On the occasion, the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was also shown the newly established control room that was constructed to impart training to doctors through live surgery process in the Academic Centre.

The newly established centre was designed to facilitate medical students for better understanding of various complex surgical procedures at CMH Rawalpindi.

COAS appreciated the efforts of ARMY Medical Corps which is providing quality health care and state of the art rehabilitation services to members of the armed forces, their families and civilian patients.

Amongst other facilities, Shuhada Families & veterans’ Medical facilitation Centre provides disruption free basic healthcare facilities including blood sampling, Medicines and checkup to families of martyrs’ and senior veterans up to the age of 75 years. The up graded Pharmacy is now entertaining 3000 patients daily.

CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa laid down the foundation stone of the new training block of ARMED FORCES Post Graduate Institute during the visit to ARMY Medical Corps.

Later COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited newly constructed Soldiers’ guestrooms, newly established Army Help Centre and upgraded facilities of ARMED FORCES Institute of Cardiology.

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa appreciated the doctors and healthcare professionals of AMC for their selfless devotion to duty and monumental work. Lauding the immense improvements being incorporated in healthcare infrastructure.

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that quality healthcare for soldiers and their families is a cardinal feature of PAK ARMY’s welfare regime and critical for morale of troops.

Earlier on arrival at CMH, the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was warmly Welcomed, Greeted and Received by the Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
