PAKISTAN Start Testing Newly Inducted LY-80/HQ-16 Long Range Air Defense System:
PAKISTAN ARMY has acquired the undisclosed number of Batteries of LY-80/HQ-16 CHINESE Long Range Air Defense Weapon System. PAK ARMY has now planned to further humiliate its arch-rival cow pisses drinker neighbor india, as the country has started to test the newly-acquired Long Range Air Defense Weapon Systems near Karachi.

PAKISTAN ARMY has test-fired the Chinese Long-Range Air Defense System at the 2 Week Long Exercise, named as the Al-Bayza 2019. On the occasion, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa Said that the Induction of the State of the Art Air Defense System has further enhanced and boost the capacity and capability of PAKISTAN ARMY’s Air Defense Arm.
It is worth to mention that PAKISTAN ARMY has inducted the Long Range Air Defense System LY-80 in March 2017.
The HQ-16/LY-80 Air Defense System is also known from the other name as the HQ-16 and it is basically a Medium-Range Surface to Air Missile (SAM) System.

The HQ-16/LY-80 Chinese Long Range Air Defense Weapon System consists of a revolutionary IBIS-150 3D Target-Search Radar, Multiple L-Band Guidance and Tracking Passive Electronically Scanned Array (PESA) Radar, Solid State S-Band Passive Electronically-Scanned Array (PESA) Radar and it also consists of 6-Cell Vertical Missile Launchers that are capable to armed and fired 6 different Surface to Air Missiles in seconds to an engaged target.
The maximum range of the HQ-16 Air Defense System procured by the PAKISTAN is up to 40 Kilometers and it is capable to engage the target with pinpoint accuracy up to an altitude of 400 to 10,000 meters.
Each L-Band Tracking and Guidance Passive Electronically-Scanned Array Radar has a tracking and detection range up to 85 Kilometers and it can detect up to 6 different targets simultaneously. One battery of the LY-80/HQ-16 CHINESE Long Range Air Defense Weapon System consists of four Missile Launchers and tracking radar.
