COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa Witnesses Corps Level War Games At Sialkot And Kotli Sector in AZAD KASHMIR:

CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa witnessed the Corps Level War Games during a high-profile visit to Sialkot and Kotli Sector in AZAD KASHMIR on Sunday, June 12, 2021, PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said in an official statement.

According to the details released by the PAKISTAN ARMY Media Wing Head ISPR, PAK ARMY CHIEF General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the concluding sessions of Corps Level War Games at Sialkot Boundary and Kotli Sector in AZAD KASHMIR.

During the visit, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was thoroughly briefed on the planning parameters and conduct modalities of the Exercise.

The Corps Level War games based on the strategic defensive operations cycle of a Corps under conventional warfare environment in lines with the offensive and Planning Directives of PAKISTAN ARMY.

“COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was briefed on planning parameters and conduct modalities of the exercise. The war game was based on defensive operations cycle of a corps under conventional battle field environment in line with Operational and Planning Directives of PAKISTAN ARMY,” DG ISPR said.

On the occasion, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa highly lauded and appreciated the sound planning, morale and operational preparedness of the troops involved in the exercise.

“COAS appreciated sound planning and befitting application of varying operational response options to crystallize future plans in view of evolving threat matrix,” DG ISPR added.

Earlier on the arrival at Sialkot Sector, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was warmly greeted, welcomed and received by the Corps Commander Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir.

PAK ARMY CHIEF, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa also visited the ongoing Corps Level Exercise “Taskheer-e-Jabal” at Kotli AZAD KASHMIR during the visit.

During the visit, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was thoroughly briefed about the progress of ongoing exercise aimed at enhancing the offensive capabilities of PAKISTAN ARMY Troops in semi-mountainous and mountainous areas.

PAKISTAN ARMY Troops also rehearsed various tactical maneuvers under challenging conditions during the exercise.

During the exercise, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa also interacted with the troops participated in the exercise. COAS General Bajwa highly appreciated the high-morale, combat readiness, dedication, professionalism and hard work of the troops engaged in the exercise.

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said futuristic training is imperative for maintaining operational readiness among troops.

“COAS also interacted with the participating troops. Appreciating hard work, high morale and professionalism of troops, COAS expressed satisfaction over conduct of the exercise. Realistic and futuristic training corresponding to evolving threat is imperative for maintaining operational readiness, COAS remarked,” DG ISPR added.

Earlier on arrival at the Kotli Sector in AZAD KASHMIR, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was warmly welcomed and greeted by the Corps Commander Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas.
