SCO Members Lauded PAKISTAN For Holding 9th Defense And Security Expert Working Group Meeting At Islamabad:
The 9th Defense & Security Expert Working Group (EWG) Meeting of the Shangai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held at Federal Capital Islamabad from 19-20 February, 2020, PAKISTAN MILITARY Media Wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in an official statement.
The two day Defense and Security Expert Meeting was hosted by PAKISTAN as part of the ‘Shanghai Cooperation Organization Defense & Security Cooperation Plan 2020’.
Delegates from Eight SCO member countries, including one Observer State visited PAKISTAN to attend the 9th Defense & Security Expert Working Group (EWG) Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held at Islamabad.
“The 9th Defense and Security Expert Working Group (EWG) Meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held in Islamabad from 19 to 20 February. The participating countries included PAKISTAN, CHINA, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan whereas Belarus attended the meeting as the observer state.” ISPR Said in a statement on Thursday.
“The participants appreciated PAKISTAN for successfully holding the 9th EWG meeting and thanked for the hospitality,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) further added in the statement.
All the 8 participants and one observer state highly lauded and appreciated PAKISTAN for holding the 9th Defense & Security Expert Working Group (EWG) meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) at Islamabad. During the security conference, the participants also thanked PAKISTAN for the hospitality during their stay in the Sacred Country of PAKISTAN.
The Eight permanent members so Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) who visited PAKISTAN, included the PAKISTAN, CHINA, Uzbekistan, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. While, the Belarus send its delegates as the Observer state to attend the 9th SCO Security & Defense Workshop.
During the Security meeting, the participants of the different countries also shares their opinions and information on conducting joint Training and Military Drills between the Armed Forces of the SCO member states.
During the 2-day long Defense & Security Expert Working Group (EWG) Meeting, the participants from different countries also shares an aspect of future cooperation between the regional security and Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member states.
PAKISTAN has become the Member State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) back in 2017. Since becoming the Member State of SCO, PAKISTAN has actively participated in all the forums, events and meetings held under the Umbrella of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in various domains including, Defense, National Security, Science and Technology, Foreign Affairs. Economy and Trade, Youth and so on.
